With the Texas wine industry growing significantly over the past decade, the demand for Texas grown grapes has risen dramatically. As one of the leading grape growers in the state, Bingham Family Vineyards has helped to provide high quality grapes to several wineries throughout Texas, including the Mandola Estate Winery.
In addition to growing grapes, the Bingham’s also grow organic cotton and peanuts in the town of Meadow, just southwest of Lubbock. Located in the Texas high plains AVA, Bingham Family Vineyards has over 75 acres of vines planted to various varieties of vitis-vinifera. The well-known varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are planted alongside other lesser known varieties such as Viognier, Vermentino, and Dolcetto.
